Country Ticker
One of my slightly less sensical goals in life is to join The Century Club. This is not some college fraternity game but rather a club for people who have traveled to 100 different countries.
There is some disclaimer here as these are not all “countries” as the normal person would think of them. Essentially a country is any geographically, politically, or ethnographically diverse piece of land. So Alaska counts. And, as a “mainlander” – as they call us – who has been to Alaska…stepping off the plane does sometimes feel like going to another country. Also, you just technically have to be in the country for it to count. This means layovers in airports count for entrance to this club. Since this is my ultimate goal, and I’m playing by their rules, I will list them. But in an attempt at reason I will list them at the end, as a last resort.
